Tengen Uzui, Kanao, and Inosuke fought Doma while Tengen studied the demon’s attacks. Haruto appeared at the last moment, cut off Doma’s arm, and nearly bisected him, leaving Doma eager to fight him again.
Haruto returned alive and joined Tengen Uzui and Inosuke against Doma, whose ice Blood Demon Arts made him difficult to approach. Doma then revealed that Inosuke’s mother had once brought him to the Eternal Paradise Cult and that he had killed her after she discovered his murders.
Inosuke learned that Doma had killed his mother and charged at him alongside Haruto, Kanao, and Tengen Uzui. After Cang Kong announced Akaza’s death, Doma stopped treating the fight as a game, and Haruto pierced his throat, leaving Doma unsettled by the threat to his survival.
Tengen Uzui, Haruto, Inosuke, and Kanao worked together to decapitate Doma. As Doma died, he witnessed Akaza reunite with Koyuki and remained bewildered by their love.
Doma reflected on his life, from his childhood in the Eternal Paradise Cult to his transformation into a demon and his death. As he headed toward Hell, he felt loneliness for the first time.
After Doma’s death, Inosuke grieved over learning the truth about his mother, while Haruto comforted him. The Infinity Castle shifted and separated the group, but Haruto caught Murata and Tanjiro, who told him they had defeated Akaza and that Tanjiro had entered the Transparent World.
Muichiro Tokito discovered that Upper Rank One was Tsugikuni Michikatsu, his ancestor and a former Demon Slayer who had become a demon. Michikatsu pinned Muichiro and attacked Genya, but two white-haired figures arrived just as Genya was about to be cut in half.
Haruto and Sanemi fought Kokushibo while Tanjiro helped Genya recover from losing both arms. Kokushibo revealed a more dangerous attack, and Sanemi survived its crossing slashes because Haruto warned him in time and Genya’s blood began healing him.
Haruto, Tanjiro, and the Hashira fought Kokushibo in the Infinity Castle as his memories of Yoriichi stirred at the sight of Tanjiro’s Sun Breathing. Kokushibo transformed his sword and unleashed a devastating attack, leaving Haruto badly wounded as the battle continued.
Haruto awakened his Demon Slayer Mark while fighting Kokushibo and trapped Upper Rank One with a new Star Breathing technique. Sanemi also awakened his mark, and the two turned their Nichirin Blades bright red before the four swordsmen attacked Kokushibo.
Kokushibo was overwhelmed by Sanemi, Tanjiro, Takanashi, and Haruto, whose attacks prevented him from regenerating and left him facing death. He remembered how fear of the marked swordsmen’s early deaths and envy of Yoriichi had driven him to become a demon and betray the Demon Slayer Corps.
Kokushibo regenerated after decapitation and transformed into a grotesque new life-form, forcing the swordsmen to keep fighting. Haruto tried to inject him with the Dream Thief Drug, but Kokushibo pierced him and turned his spikes on the others as a voice called him a pitiful brother.
Kokushibo heard Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s voice and relived the centuries-old jealousy and hatred that grew from their childhood rivalry and Yoriichi’s unmatched talent. As Kokushibo collapsed before Yoriichi’s image, his brother told him that every path pursued to its utmost reached the same destination, and that Kokushibo’s view of the world was vivid in its own right.
Haruto and the Demon Slayers defeated Kokushibo, whose resolve collapsed after he confronted his own monstrous appearance and spoke with Yoriichi. As Tanjiro carried Haruto toward treatment, the Infinity Castle began rising, and Haruto suspected Yushiro had taken control of Nakime's Blood Demon Art to bring it into the sunlight.
As the Infinity Castle emerged into the open, Kagaya ordered the Hashira to find Muzan and sent Haruto for medical treatment. Tanjiro carried Haruto to Shinobu, who bandaged his wounds while the Corps prepared for the final battle.
Obanai Iguro and Mitsuri Kanroji found Muzan recovering inside a ball of flesh in the Infinity Castle and attacked, but he emerged with overwhelming power and rapid regeneration. Sabito and Makomo arrived to save them as Muzan realized Nakime had lost control of the castle.
Haruto and the Hashira reached Muzan for the final battle, with an hour and a half until sunrise. As the swordsmen attacked, Haruto turned his Nichirin Blade bright red and tried to close in on Muzan.
Haruto fought Muzan with Gyomei but hesitated when Muzan asked what drove his hatred, allowing a thorn to pierce his chest. He woke in a seemingly altered reality where his body was weak and Murata told him that several people he knew had died, leaving Haruto unsure whether he was dreaming or had lost his mind.
Haruto woke from a vision of a world where the Demon Slayer Corps faced Muzan without him, then returned to the battle and renewed his resolve to kill Muzan. Tamayo’s aging drug weakened Muzan, while Gyomei and Kyojuro activated their demon slayer marks and intensified the assault.
Haruto and the Hashira pressed Muzan as his aging body struggled to regenerate, while the younger slayers attacked from the shadows. As Muzan’s strength waned, Haruto noticed old, crisscrossing blade scars emerging across his body.
Haruto and the Demon Slayer Corps drove Muzan from the Infinity Castle as sunrise neared, but Muzan unleashed an explosion that wounded and scattered the swordsmen. Haruto then pinned Muzan to the ground, leaving the Demon Progenitor trapped as the fight continued.
Haruto and the battered swordsmen held Muzan down as dawn approached, while Haruto’s blood made Muzan relive his fear of Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Genya stopped Muzan from escaping, and the sun rose as the survivors staggered after him.
The Demon Slayer Corps defeated Muzan as sunrise burned away his body, and Haruto rejected his attempt to pass his demon bloodline to Tanjiro. Haruto and Tanjiro survived the battle, and Haruto awoke to Shinobu beside him.
After Muzan’s death, the survivors recovered, Nezuko became human, and Tamayo, Yushiro, and Chachamaru took the medicine to become human as well. Months later, Kagaya disbanded the Demon Slayer Corps, and Haruto announced his upcoming wedding as the Hashira discussed their futures.
Five-year-old Haruto practiced swordsmanship in the Swordsmith Village when he met Kagaya, a young visitor from outside. Their conversation left Haruto wondering how much Kagaya understood about him, but he rushed off when he remembered the rice steaming in the house.
