With each peal of the drums, Wooden Dragons erupted from the ground one after another. Some did not charge straight at Chinatsu, instead cleverly coordinating their attacks.
The Wooden Dragons opened their mouths. Some unleashed powerful sound waves, while others released dazzling lightning.
Fortunately, these attacks were not particularly difficult to handle. Mitsuri tensed every muscle in her body, putting her gift of eightfold muscle density on full display.
Her eightfold muscle density gave her more than just strength. More importantly, it made her muscles harder when she tensed them. Even sound waves and lightning striking Mitsuri at close range might not penetrate her body's defenses, let alone these ranged attacks.
Beside her, Nezuko and Genya Shinazugawa were not slacking off either. They fought with everything they had.
Nezuko immediately entered her demonized state, her strength surging beyond Daki's level. A single "Exploding Blood!" set an entire Wooden Dragon charging toward her ablaze.
Genya Shinazugawa attacked relentlessly with a firearm in one hand and a Nichirin Blade in the other. Although his bullets were astonishingly powerful, they were precious and could not be wasted.
His Nichirin Blade did very little damage, however, because he could not use a Breathing Style at all. Without a Breathing Style to empower it, a Nichirin Blade was little more than a slightly sharper ordinary weapon to a demon. Even if Zohakuten let Genya strike his neck, Genya would not be able to cut through it.
But Genya had a special ability of his own, one that compensated for his poor physical capabilities and inability to use a Breathing Style.
