Mei Terumi stared at Lin Guang in disbelief. Was this guy really not a Kirigakure local? Why did he understand the situation here so well?
"Don't be so surprised, ma'am. Our captain has always been like this."
Before Lin Guang could speak, Satō Maji started showing off instead, waving a hand to indicate that this was routine for Lin Guang.
"What did you say?"
Mei Terumi smiled, but there was a trace of killing intent in her smile that made Satō Maji shudder.
"Don't take it to heart. He's just terrible with words."
Hyūga Jō stepped in to smooth things over.
If Satō Maji had offended Lin Guang, Hyūga Jō would not have spoken up for him. Instead, he would have gloated and kicked him while he was down.
But in front of Mei Terumi, Hyūga Jō still stood up for Satō Maji.
"Kenza isn't too bright, but his fighting ability is unquestionable."
Lin Guang put one thing down while praising another, disparaging Satō Maji's brains and praising his strength.
For a moment, Satō Maji did not know what to say, so he said nothing and first studied how Lin Guang had phrased that remark.

Mei Terumi was not really going to hold a child's words against him. Business came first.

As Lin Guang spoke, he formed hand seals and used the Shadow Clone Technique, creating five shadow clones. Then he used the Transformation Technique to give each of them a different appearance.
