Ever since Uchiha Itachi had defeated him with a single Golden Binding Genjutsu, Orochimaru had trained hard in ways to resist genjutsu. When facing the Sharingan, he no longer looked directly into the Dōjutsu user's eyes.
If Lin Guang wanted to cast genjutsu on Orochimaru, he could only use sensory genjutsu.
And aside from techniques on the level of Izanami and Izanagi, genjutsu of that kind would not have much effect on Orochimaru.
A ninja as sinister and cunning as Orochimaru clearly would not let himself suffer much of a disadvantage.
Sure enough, Orochimaru walked out of the woods completely unscathed.
Although he appeared to have been sent flying a great distance by Naruto, he had actually suffered no real injuries.
Only the skin on his face had torn, revealing the face of the person whose body Orochimaru had stolen with Living Corpse Reincarnation.
"You're becoming more and more like a Jinchūriki, Naruto."
Orochimaru spoke quietly. At the same time, he understood why Yamato was on Naruto's team.
Naruto crouched on Tenchi Bridge, watching Orochimaru warily, while Orochimaru approached one step at a time.
"So that's why you were chosen to monitor this team. My experiments did prove somewhat useful."
Orochimaru said.
Lin Guang was somewhat puzzled. Could Yamato have some connection to Orochimaru from before he had left Konoha?
"Konoha really ought to thank me properly too, shouldn't it? My dear test subject."
Orochimaru spoke to Yamato. There was indeed a connection between them.
Judging by Yamato's reaction, however, he seemed unimpressed by Orochimaru and did not even seem familiar with him.
"Test subject? Just who is this man?"
