The announcer introduced her. "Look, here comes the torchbearer! The conference's sacred flame, passed through the hands of over a hundred people before this, is now approaching the ceremonial cauldron!"
Just as the torchbearer reached the cauldron and prepared to light it with the sacred flame, a man and a woman dressed as emissaries suddenly appeared.
"What an astonishing performance! It looks as though a woman will be responsible for lighting the cauldron."
Although puzzled by the pair's sudden appearance, the announcer chose to improvise and continued his commentary to maintain order at the competition venue.
"Wait! You can't give them the sacred flame!"
As the Team Rocket trio's archenemy, Ash Ketchum spotted something wrong at once and hurried up to the cauldron to stop the torchbearer.
