Chapter Summaries

Rimuru and Veldora became friends, and Rimuru swallowed the Storm Dragon to begin working with Great Sage to break Infinite Prison. With Veldora’s aura gone, the Great Jura Forest was left vulnerable to invasion as Lin Guang prepared to expand his influence.

• Veldora named the Slime Rimuru Tempest, and their naming formed a Soul Corridor that let Magicules flow between them.
• Lin Guang explained that Rimuru had to swallow Veldora and Infinite Prison into his Stomach to analyze and break the seal, and Rimuru agreed to try.
• Rimuru used Predator to swallow Veldora, causing the Storm Dragon’s aura to disappear from the world.
• The monsters around the Great Jura Forest began invading the forest, while monsters fleeing the fighting appeared near neighboring nations and devastated villages and cities.
• Lin Guang advised Rimuru to train in the cave and remain wary of humans, then left to expand his influence in the Great Jura Forest.

After leaving Rimuru in the sealed cave, Lin Guang returned to his growing territory and prepared for the turmoil expected after Veldora’s aura vanished. He sent Aervi-ya to recruit beastfolk and demi-humans and ordered Gerudo and Shadow Fang to secretly monitor a crow-masked Majin as nearby nations prepared to investigate the forest.

• Lin Guang and Kanae Kocho left Rimuru in the sealed cave, where Rimuru soon encountered a Black Water Serpent.
• Back in his territory, Lin Guang assessed its growth and anticipated unrest in the Great Jura Forest now that Veldora’s aura had disappeared.

Fuze agreed to investigate the Great Jura Forest and the Eastern Empire for Duke Beliard, while Lin Guang learned of Clayman’s plot and chose to use it to advance his own plans. More than ten days later, Rimuru was still wandering through the cave when he found a large door that might be its main entrance.

• Duke Beliard warned Fuze that Veldora’s disappearance could lead to monster unrest and an Eastern Empire invasion, and Fuze agreed to investigate in a personal capacity.
• Krumit met with Laplace, who delivered Clayman’s ultimatum and learned that Krumit planned to act while the forest was in chaos.
• Shadow Fang reported Krumit and Laplace’s conversation to Gerudo, who brought the news to Lin Guang.

Rimuru left the sealed cave, encountered Goblins threatened by Direwolves, and began the events that led to the village pledging allegiance to him. Meanwhile, Lin Guang discussed growing threats in his territory and checked his system, which offered him the chance to open a Prismatic Treasure Chest.

• Rimuru hid from three adventurers as they opened the cave door, then left after they departed.
• Rimuru found a Goblin group and learned they were in danger from a Direwolf attack, so he decided to save their village.
• Rimuru killed Lanya's father, gained Lanya's loyalty, and received the allegiance of the Goblin village.

Just as the Ogre Chief prepared to send Shion away with Benimaru and Shuna, an unknown Ogre used teleportation magic to transport the entire Ogre population to safety.

• Lin Guang and Kanae Kocho set out for the Ogre village three days after Lin Guang predicted the Boar's Head Tribe would attack.
• Shion and the Ogre warriors fought the invading army as the Boar's Head Tribe grew stronger by devouring the fallen, and the Ogres suffered heavy casualties.
• The Ogre Chief recognized the Boar's Head Emperor, while Shuna explained its power and Souei reported that a masked Majin appeared to control it.
• The Ogre Chief ordered Hakurou and Shion to take Benimaru and Shuna away, and asked Shion to bring them to Lin Guang.

• Lin Guang and Kanae Kocho arrived at the burning Ogre village and decided to save the Ogres without destroying the Boar's Head Tribe army, which Lin Guang wanted as future workers for his territory.

• The Ogre Chief weighed the benefits and obligations of being named, then knelt and pledged the Ogres’ allegiance to Lin Guang.
• Lin Guang named the Ogre Chief Chixiao and reaffirmed the names Benimaru and Shuna, strengthening their connection to him.

Lin Guang won the Ogres’ loyalty by defeating Hakurou in a swordsmanship match and naming the entire tribe. The next day, a pillar of flame erupted in the Great Jura Forest, and Lin Guang suspected Rimuru was involved.

• Lin Guang defeated Hakurou in a swordsmanship spar and named him, then spent the afternoon naming more than four hundred Ogres, who evolved into Oni and pledged their loyalty.
• Shion declared that she would serve as Lin Guang’s personal secretary, while Shuna secretly resolved to make Lin Guang notice her.

Shizu lost control to the Flame Spirit Ifrit, who set the Goblin town ablaze and attacked Rimuru and Eren’s companions. Rimuru found a way to defeat the Fire Dragons, and Lin Guang arrived in time to contain the last one’s self-destruction.

• Shizu’s mask cracked and fell as Ifrit took over her body, summoned three Fire Dragons, and began burning the town.
• Rimuru ordered Rigurd and Rigur to evacuate the Goblins while Eren and her companions chose to stay and fight for Shizu.

Lin Guang helped Rimuru and Lanya defeat Ifrit, then returned to his territory and named his Pokémon. Dialga absorbed Time Power through their soul connection and transformed into a girl who called herself Diki, leaving Lin Guang astonished.

• Lin Guang arrived at Rimuru’s battle with Ifrit, agreed to watch over Ellen and her companions, and let Rimuru handle the fight.
• Rimuru had Lanya fling him at Ifrit, used [Predator] to devour the Flame Spirit, and spat Shizue back out.
• Lin Guang returned to his territory, told Kanae Kocho about Rimuru, and brought his Pokémon together to name them.
• Lin Guang called for Dialga, who emerged from a Time Rift and absorbed Time Power from the Time Stone through their soul connection.

After Diki’s naming awakened her as a powerful spirit monster with the ultimate skill [Lord of Time], Lin Guang named the rest of his Pokémon. They gained new races and human forms, leaving all of Lin Guang’s Pokémon named.

• Diki told Lin Guang that her abilities had merged into [Lord of Time], and he realized the Time Stone’s power had helped create the ultimate skill.
• Diki lunged at Lin Guang, drawn to his Time Power, and he gave her a time crystal that she fashioned into a bracelet.
• Lin Guang named Articuno [Huangyue], who became a mid-tier ice spirit monster with the ultimate skill [King of Absolute Ice].
• Lin Guang named Charizard [Longyan], Shiny Aerodactyl [Longhuang], Gyarados [Longli], Gengar [Guimei], Umbreon [Yueying], Mime Jr. [Nimo], Lucario [Ouqian], Tyranitar [Banji], Garchomp [Shafeng], and Rhyhorn [Mingxi].
• All of Lin Guang’s Pokémon had been named, and nearly all had taken human forms; Banji and Mingxi instead became larger.

Lin Guang learned that Aervi-ya would soon return with fifteen hundred Demi-Humans and more than a hundred Beastmen, and he planned to reward her. He opened three Gold Treasure Chests and received Senbonzakura, Dark Magic, and an Ability Extraction Card, but he was dissatisfied with the results.

• Lin Guang admitted to Kanae Kocho that naming Charizard and the others had caused them to evolve, with some taking human form and others gaining control over their size.
• Kanae Kocho told Lin Guang that Aervi-ya would return from the Beast Kingdom in about three days with roughly six hundred Kobolds, four hundred members of the Tanuki Tribe, five hundred members of the Horned Sheep Tribe, and over a hundred Beastmen.
• Lin Guang celebrated the news and promised to reward Aervi-ya and her recruits, then noticed Kanae Kocho carried an ordinary sword and resolved to find her a better weapon.

He arranged shelter for them and ordered Souei to monitor the army, while hinting that the crow-masked Majin would be eaten; later, he trained Hakurou and discovered Shion's cooking tasted good despite its appearance.
