Unlike Chiba Yo, Goto had spent every day of the past month caring for the unconscious Tanjiro, constantly hoping he would wake up.
That was why he was so excited to see Tanjiro regain consciousness, and why Kanao's silent, utterly composed reaction infuriated him.

"Everyone's been worried sick about this kid! This is a big deal! I don't care who outranks whom right now!"
Still fuming, Goto walked to the ward's door as he spoke.
"Kiyo! Sumi! Naho! Aoi, too! Tanjiro's awake!"
Standing in the doorway, Goto shouted down the corridor.
The Butterfly Mansion's Three Little Ones rushed into the ward, tears on all their faces as they rejoiced at Tanjiro's recovery.
They immediately crowded around Tanjiro. Sumi Nakahara held a bean-paste bun, crying as she tried to feed it to him, while Goto brought over the honey cake. Kanao watched it all with a calm smile.
Chiba Yo couldn't help smiling at the warm, harmonious scene in the ward.
Just then, someone covered from head to toe in a bedsheet rushed in as well.
"Eek-a monster!"
Naho's little face went pale with fright.
Just as the figure was about to crash into Chiba Yo, he sidestepped and pulled off the sheet in the same motion.
