Tanjiro felt rather helpless at Zenitsu's words, but Zenitsu had protected Nezuko many times during their mission on the Mugen Train, just as he had back at the Drum Mansion. Tanjiro was still willing to acknowledge him.
Chiba Yo felt rather helpless at the sight of Zenitsu, too. Just then, Inosuke began struggling beside them.
The boulder on his shoulders had originally been tied with a rope for arm-strength training. Inosuke could already pull it up fairly easily, but doing squats while carrying it made the exercise far more difficult.
After about twenty squats, Inosuke's legs and arms began to shake.

Inosuke used his Breathing Style, chanting his battle cry to spur himself on, but that alone could not push him past his limits.
His arms suddenly gave out, and the boulder was about to come crashing down.
