Zhou Yi and Wang Yan had wanted to stay as well, but their standing was not high enough. Even Du Weilun and the others had only been allowed to remain because Yan Shaozhe and his companions had given permission.
Xuan Zi chuckled, stepped forward, and patted Gu Qingnian. "My dear disciple, it's been a while. You've gotten much stronger!"
"Huh???" Everyone present, Gu Qingnian included, looked utterly bewildered.
"Huh? Xuan Zi, when did I become your disciple?" Gu Qingnian gave an awkward smile and hurriedly asked. Xuan Zi as my master? Give me a break...
"Hmm? Just now!" Xuan Zi paid no attention to Gu Qingnian's rejection, acting as though he had not heard it.
"Xuan Zi!" Xian Lin'er and Qian Duoduo shouted in unison.
Xuan Zi curled his lips and was just about to speak when Xian Lin'er beat him to it. "If you insist on doing this, I'll take it up with that person!"
Everyone except Gu Qingnian paled, and even Xuan Zi could not help
