Just then, two more Chimera Ants slowly emerged from an opening nearby.
One had purplish skin, dragonfly-like wings, narrow, slanted eyes, and sharp blades on its tentacle-like hands. The other had a slender body and nearly a dozen arms.
The centaur flicked its forked tongue, looked down at the witless man lying on the ground, and said flatly, "Goodbye."
At those words, a flicker of light seemed to return to the man's clouded eyes. He stared desperately at Gon and the others nearby and slurred,
"Help... help me."
But before he could finish, a hoof mercilessly stomped down on him.
The heavy hoof ground against the man's waist. Only after crushing him clean in two did the centaur withdraw its leg, giving its bloodstained hoof an indifferent glance.
Unable to bear the bloody sight, Gon turned his head away, unwilling to look any longer.
But Kite rebuked him sternly from behind. "Don't look away. It might throw something strange at us any second."
The centaur watched them with an amused smile, flicking its forked tongue. Its eyes glowed red, and a crazed grin spread across its face.
"I've decided! From now on, I decree that you'll be my next batch of pet dogs!"
Those words sent a wave of revulsion through Cordis. The two mangled corpses still lying beneath its hooves only deepened his disgust as he complained,
"That's disgusting. Can we hurry up and get rid of this thing?"
He rubbed his shoulders as he added, "I don't want to stay here. It's filthy."
The centaur swept out a hand and ordered the two Chimera Ants beside it, "Take them alive!"
Watching the two Chimera Ants charge toward them, Killua quickly activated his aura. He turned slightly and told Kite behind him, "Leave these two to us."
