Cordis looked at the food spread across the floor, then turned to the expressionless Palm beside him in astonishment.
Palm really had been hiding her talents. Unless someone was a professional gourmet Hunter, preparing a spread like this was an impressive feat.
Gon and Killua could no longer hold back.
After saying, "Let's eat," they grabbed the food and began stuffing it into their mouths.
Cordis and Biscuit exchanged helpless smiles and sat down on the floor as well, though as adults, they were clearly far more restrained than the two boys.
They picked up their bowls and chopsticks and began eating slowly, savoring each bite.
Cordis had only just swallowed a piece of fried shrimp when he exclaimed, "This is delicious!"
Sitting across from him, Palm chuckled softly. "Hehe, as long as you take me to see Mr. Knov, I'll cook as much delicious food as you want."
As they spoke, Cordis seemed to remember something. He slipped a Ruby-set ring off his finger, placed it in front of Palm, and said softly,
"I might have to rely on you for my meals from now on, too, but I'd feel bad eating here for free. I don't have much money on me, either. This is a ring I wore a long time ago."
