Knuckle gave Gon a faint smile at that, but Gon pointed at the blanket in front of him. Something beneath it was wriggling slightly.
Startled, Knuckle held out his hands, unsure what to do. Suddenly, a little furry head poked out from under the blanket.
"You're that little guy from back then!"
Knuckle exclaimed in surprise.
Sitting beside the bed, Killua reached over and stroked the puppy's head. "This little guy's been keeping you company the whole time."

He motioned for him to come over.
Gon scratched his head in confusion. After exchanging glances with Knuckle and Killua, he walked outside.
"Cordis, is something wrong?"
With his hands behind his back, Cordis smiled at Gon. "I'm leaving now. I'm heading to NGL ahead of you."
Gon hadn't expected that. He hastily grabbed the hem of Cordis's clothes and asked anxiously, "We've still got plenty of time! Why are you in such a hurry? Your injuries haven't even healed!"
"Gon, I can't wait anymore. I want to find Kite. He saved your life, so you should understand how I feel better than anyone. In a way, I owe him, too."
Cordis pointed at his left eye with a rueful expression. "If it weren't for him, I might have lost my left eye as well."
Gon opened his mouth, but eventually closed it again. His brows knitted as he looked earnestly at Cordis. "In that case..."
"Come back safely, Cordis."
"Of course I will!" Cordis said.
Time flew by.
A week passed in the blink of an eye. Cordis had said his goodbyes to Gon and the others early and had already been in NGL
