Chrollo said nothing. Instead, he frowned and looked up at the sun hanging high in the sky.
Seeing this, Cordis followed Chrollo's gaze.
The enormous sun took up almost the entire sky.
The sun, which should have brought warmth, now inspired fear instead. Absurdly large, it seemed dangerously close to the two of them.
Even with his poor eyesight, Cordis noticed it.
Something seemed wrong with this sun.
He looked anxiously at Chrollo beside him, wondering how he would deal with it.
And he would have to act fast.
Otherwise, the outrageously high temperature here might roast them both to death.
Chrollo naturally sensed Cordis's concern. After giving his shoulder a reassuring pat, he raised his hand.
He pointed at the sun in the sky, then swept his hand through the air.
A gale followed, whipping up so much sand that Cordis could not open his eyes.
After Cordis haphazardly brushed the sand off his face, he opened his eyes. The sight before him almost made him believe in spirits and gods for a moment.
The blazing sun overhead had vanished without a trace, replaced by a night ruled by the moon.
"What's going on?"
All of this went beyond anything Cordis understood.
He turned to Chrollo beside him, his face full of confusion.
How did he do that? Did the leader of the Spider have some kind of supernatural power, too?
Faced with Cordis's questioning gaze, Chrollo offered no answer. He merely gave him a mysterious smile and put away [Skill Hunter].
As he deactivated his Nen Ability, the shield that had blocked the sun vanished in an instant as well.
"Perhaps this is the actual time of day."
With that, the two
