"Hey, Killua!"
A Luo's voice left Killua utterly surprised.
"A Luo? Why are you calling me?"
The last time they met, she had said such heartless things-that she had forgotten him, and that anyone she could forget couldn't even count as a friend.
A Luo sounded as though she were speaking through gritted teeth.
"It's all because of that wonderful big brother of yours!"
Then A Luo wasted no time telling Killua everything Illumi had done.
"He doesn't want me contacting you, and he won't even let me be your friend. Well, I'm going to contact you and be your friend anyway."
"Killua, haven't you gotten sick of staying on Kukuroo Mountain for over a year? Want to come out and play?"
Killua's clear eyes instantly rounded into catlike pupils, like those of a little animal.
"Really?"
That lasted only an instant. A second later, the boy's expression fell.
"But my big brother keeps a really close eye on me. I haven't even gone out on a mission in over a year."
Then he seemed to remember something.
"Wait, A Luo, is it okay for you to tell me all this over the phone? Someone always monitors our family's calls. What if Mom or my big brother finds out?! Then I probably couldn't escape this house even if I turned into a fly!"
A Luo chuckled and glanced at the specially made phone she was using.
"Don't worry, Killua. I'm using a special phone I made myself with my Nen Ability. No one can eavesdrop on calls made with this."
She hadn't been idle over the past year or so.
With someone having tampered with her mind, and with all the dangers in this world, A Luo had been training like mad practically every day, even in her sleep.
