Facing him in midair, Josen wore a calm gaze, while Homelander looked somewhat surprised.
With his super vision, he had clearly seen Josen's face from more than ten kilometers away.
But only now did he sense the faint pressure emanating from the body beneath that black-and-gold battle suit.
Homelander: ?
How was that possible?
He had always been the one best at intimidating others with his presence. Why was he now feeling an unprecedented sense of pressure from this Asian-looking man?
"Were you spying on me just now?"
Looking at the unfamiliar black-haired man before him, dressed in a standard superhero outfit, Homelander spoke in puzzlement.
"That wasn't spying. I was openly saying hello to you. You sensed it, didn't you?"
Josen wagged a finger at Homelander, flatly denying his accusation.
"Otherwise, you wouldn't have found this place so easily."
Homelander frowned slightly. The other man's tone lacked the respect others showed him, something absolutely unacceptable even within The Seven.
But he instinctively realized that this fellow in a pitch-black lightning battle suit, blue flames burning all over his body, was no ordinary man. That was the only reason he had not lashed out immediately.
Which raised a question.
Vought International controlled all the superhumans in the world, and this man was undoubtedly a superhuman.
Even the plan he had been secretly pushing had produced few successful cases so far.
So was this man one of us, too?
At that thought, even Homelander grew uncertain and could not help asking another question. "I don't think I've ever seen you before. Which branch's new superhero are you?"
"Half right. I am indeed a Hero."
A sunny smile appeared on Josen's handsome, chiseled face, one that even Homelander had to admit surpassed his own. Yet his next words instantly chilled the atmosphere
