Bang-
A dark figure landed heavily. The thrusters around the righteous-looking Genos shut off, and he strode toward Saitama.
"Master Saitama, I've eliminated the monster that was destroying the neighborhood."
The young cyborg merely glanced at the scrawny blond who was still shouting nearby, then paid him no further attention.
"Oh."
Still holding up the building with one hand, Saitama grinned. "Thanks for the effort, Genos."
As everyone knew, Superman could lift planes and buildings and intercept Lois at supersonic speed without smashing her in half because he possessed a "biological force field," which could protect him and the things he touched, counteracting external forces.
But Saitama had no such psychic powers.
With a point of support no larger than a palm, even a slight deviation from the building's vertical axis would produce an unbalanced torque beyond what reinforced concrete could withstand, causing the building to topple or even collapse under its own weight.
Yet in Saitama's presence, the laws of physics did not function normally.
Or rather, with the world's rules allowing it, he simply wanted to do it, and his long-trained body accomplished it.
Just as he was doing now, Saitama exerted a little strength through his right hand as it supported the apartment building.
Rumble!
The broken building returned to a position perpendicular to the ground, rose slightly with the movement of his arm, then planted itself straight into the earth.
Apart from sending the local airborne particulate index soaring, it had no other effect.
Just like that, the apartment building stood upright, perfectly intact.
Yep, it was that magical!
A huge cloud of dust rose on the spot. Their Hero work done, Saitama and Genos headed toward Z City, chatting and laughing.
They left the blond, who had stayed there courting death, choking half to death.
