Guigu grinned, pleased with Yakan's condition. After taking the Beast Transformation Pill, Yakan's strength had surged, but he had lost his reason, leaving only his bestial instincts.
He obeyed only Guigu's commands.
"Awooo!"
Yakan crushed the ground beneath his feet and howled skyward. His enormous, bloody maw opened, and countless Demon Wolves poured out in a seemingly endless stream, charging toward Wutong Mountain.
"I hope you enjoy this gift, Emperor Yu."
Guigu sneered as he watched Yakan charge up Wutong Mountain. Then he turned away, leading the White Tiger Warriors in erasing every trace before leaving.
The sudden assault of the densely packed wolves on Wutong Mountain alarmed the Phoenix Tribe members in Phoenix City. The warriors guarding the city rushed to intercept them.
"Enemy attack! Everyone, repel the enemy!"
The Phoenix Tribe warriors unleashed streams of flame, destroying Demon Wolves one after another. Yet the wolves' numbers barely diminished and continued to grow.
Yakan kept releasing wolves. As long as his demon power held out, endless packs would pour from his mouth.
"We must find where these wolves are coming from! There must be a wolf leader directing them!"
The City Defense General shouted calmly. Despite the many years of peace, the general did not panic, directing the slaughter of the wolves in an orderly fashion.
An enormous ball of flame suddenly shot out from above Phoenix City, annihilating ten thousand wolves in a single strike.
"It's Lady Emperor Yu!"
"Lady Emperor Yu is here!"
The Phoenix Tribe members brightened and breathed sighs of relief. Though the Demon Wolves were not strong, their sheer numbers had put them under pressure.
Now that Emperor Yu had intervened, everything would be resolved.
