Sesshomaru asked. He had only learned of this demon blade from Tōtōsai, so how did the King of the Underworld know?
"It is the demon blade born with you. I sensed its existence all those years ago."
The King of the Underworld spoke calmly. Naturally, that was nonsense. He could hardly say that he knew the entire course of Sesshomaru's life.

Sesshomaru recalled what Mingye had told him decades ago and realized that Mingye had already known then that the demon blade Bakusaiga was growing within him.
