"Miss, would you like to go on a date with me?" The Sukamon in the box leered at Mimi.

If not for its fear of the sunlight outside, it probably would have already rushed out to get close to her.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Bewildered, Mimi didn't understand what it meant at first.

After all, it was just a Digimon...

"Mimi, it's asking whether you'd like to go on a date with it." Palmon took over Agumon's role as translator.

"Huh? A date? No way! I'm not going on a date with something that disgusting." Remembering Sukamon's earlier poop attack, Mimi's pale little face turned even whiter.

"Mimi, saying that will make it mad," Palmon warned quietly beside her.

"I'm not scared! We're in the sunlight anyway." Mimi pointed at the sun overhead, her face full of defiance.

Whoosh~

A cool breeze blew past, and a white cloud happened to cover the sun...

"Ah~ You've got to be kidding!" Looking at the cloud overhead, Mimi was instantly speechless.

Seriously? I'd only just finished talking tough, and now this?

"Hmph, what's so great about you? Now I'm angry!" With Sukamon's shout, a lump of something indescribable came flying toward Mimi and Palmon.

"Ah! Not again!"

"Run~!"

At the sight, Mimi knew to run first and worry later, even without Zhou Zhu dragging her along this time.

"Candlemon, use Melt Wax, quick!"

Watching one Sukamon after another pour out of the vending machines, Zhou Zhu hurriedly ordered Candlemon to use its special move to slow them down and buy him and Mimi more time to escape!

"Melt Wax!"

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~

Boom, boom, boom, boom!

A sweeping barrage of wax instantly blasted the Sukamon at the front off their feet.

Although the Rookie-level Candlemon wasn't particularly strong yet, dealing with these Sukamon was a piece of cake.

"Everyone, run! There's a whole bunch of Sukamon behind us!" In moments, Zhou Zhu and Mimi had reached Tai and the others.

After what had happened earlier, Zhou Zhu didn't bother explaining this time. Instead, Mimi took the initiative to warn them.

"Huh? Sukamon again? Agumon, let's run!" The moment Tai heard the name Sukamon, he knew better. He took off with Agumon without looking back.

"Damn it! You knew there were Sukamon, and you still led them right toward us? What were you thinking?" Matt turned green with fright at the horde behind them. He had only just cleaned that indescribable stuff off his head, and now he had run into these disgusting things again...

"Matt, stop talking, or some poop might fall into your mouth!" Because of his height, Izzy was running a step behind Matt, but he still offered him a well-meaning warning.

"Hmph. Let's split up. There are way too many Sukamon." Though still unhappy, Matt sensibly accepted Izzy's advice while offering a suggestion of his own.

Under the circumstances, splitting up was their only option. If those disgusting poop attacks all concentrated on them, it would be utterly terrifying.

"Palmon, this way!"

In her panic, Mimi led Palmon into the nearby forest, with three Sukamon still chasing them.

"Hmm? Should I follow?" Forget it. I'd better find somewhere safe to lie low. What happens next isn't something I can interfere with. Monzaemon is a Perfect-level Digimon, too...

Watching everyone scatter, Zhou Zhu picked a general direction and observed from a distance.

"Poison Ivy!"

Unable to stand being chased by the Sukamon any longer, Palmon spun around, ready to unleash its special attack.

But before Palmon could attack, the Sukamon pursuing them fled in terror.

"Palmon, you're amazing!" Seeing this, Mimi showered Palmon with praise.

"But~ I haven't even done anything yet!" Have I really gotten stronger? Can I scare off Sukamon just by shouting?

The ground shook behind Mimi and Palmon as something huge stomped toward them.

A gigantic stuffed bear appeared behind the pair.

"I-it's Monzaemon!!!" At the sight, Palmon finally understood why those Sukamon had fled so quickly.

Palmon's legs went weak as it stared at the creature before them. It might look friendly, but it was a genuine Perfect-level Digimon!

Its strength was on par with Andromon back at the Mechanical Factory.

"Welcome to Toy Town!" Monzaemon didn't attack Mimi and Palmon. Instead, it invited them to visit Toy Town.

"What? This is a Digimon too?" Looking at Monzaemon's strange stuffed-animal appearance, Mimi struggled to understand how something made like a plush toy could come to life.

"Don't let its appearance fool you. Monzaemon is a very powerful Digimon! It loves toys, and it's the mayor of Toy Town." Feeling rather timid, Palmon hurriedly offered a cautious warning when it saw Mimi's doubtful expression.

"So it's a kind Digimon, then?" Hearing Palmon's explanation, Mimi immediately relaxed a little.

"It should be..."

Even as Palmon said it, it didn't feel the least bit confident.

As far as kindness went... Andromon had been a kind Digimon too, but hadn't it ended up like that anyway? With Black Gears running rampant across File Island, even kind Digimon could become accomplices to evil~

"Sorry for the wait, miss. Lovely Attack!"

The seemingly polite greeting came accompanied by a Perfect-level Digimon's special attack.

Already somewhat on guard, Palmon and Mimi only just managed to dodge before the attack reached them.

That was only because Monzaemon was toying with them and hadn't used its full strength. Otherwise, how could a weakling like Palmon possibly dodge a Perfect-level Digimon's attack?

"Why would a kind Digimon attack us?" Even as she fled from Monzaemon, Mimi didn't forget to question Palmon beside her.

"I don't know either!!!" Palmon was already trembling with terror. Back when they had faced Andromon, Tai and the others' Champion-level Digimon had barely managed to hold it off together. Now Palmon, a weak little Rookie, had to face Monzaemon alone. It was miserable...

"Have fun!"

Despite those words, the attacks shooting from Monzaemon's eyes showed no sign of stopping.
