Yoshino leisurely patrolled the seaside on her little scooter. After DATS disbanded, she had returned to the Police Force, only to be assigned a cushy post. At first, she had taken her daily patrols seriously, but after a while, she finally realized that this stretch of road offered no real opportunities to distinguish herself. Even so, she never neglected her daily patrols. She simply spent more time admiring the scenery.
"Yoshino, something's happening. I'm picking up a very strong Digimon signal," Lalamon's voice came from on her person.
"A Digimon signal?" Yoshino looked around and noticed a suspicious bank of dark clouds floating over the distant sea.
"So beautiful. To think he wants me to kill such a beautiful girl. Kurata really is wicked." A deep male voice came from behind Yoshino.
Every muscle in Yoshino's body tensed, but she did not turn around. Instead, she focused on the shadow on the ground. When she saw its fist swing out and almost overlap her own shadow, she rolled aside, escaping her attacker's reach.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Yoshino raised a dainty handgun, already aiming at his head.
"What sharp reflexes. Looks like I still need more practice. Ah, such beautiful eyes. I'd love to go on a date with her." The speaker was a burly man in a tank top, his huge muscles exposed. He was probably over two meters tall.
"Tell me your names, and I'll go on a date with you. How does that sound?" Yoshino could sense no murderous intent from him. After a moment's thought, she decided to use her feminine charms.
"I-I'm Ivan. Would you really go on a date with me?" The hulking Ivan actually blushed after saying that.
