"Roooaaar!" SkullGreymon let out a howl that shook the heavens, then sent every Digimon flying with a single swipe. Not only did Flamedramon and the others suffer, but Ken Ichijouji and Airdramon were caught in it too.
"We're done for! Oura, everyone, run! I'll hold him off!" Kari shouted. Unleashing all her strength, she became a blur as she charged at SkullGreymon.
SkullGreymon was not drawn to Kari, nor did he pay attention to anything in front of him. Instead, he studied the distant Dark Tower with curiosity. For a Digimon like SkullGreymon, born solely for battle, there should have been nothing in his mind but the urge to fight. Yet at that moment, he was indeed feeling curious. That change made Kari stop abruptly in the middle of her charge.
After a long while, SkullGreymon suddenly moved. Shouting "Zero Cruise Missile!", he launched the weapon on his back at the Dark Tower. In an instant, the tower vanished in an explosion. The tremendous shock wave made everyone bleed from every opening in their heads, despite being several kilometers away. Fortunately, Nefertimon's protection prevented any actual casualties.
"That's terrifying! What does a monster that scary even want?" Oura's face was deathly pale. Of course, the others were hardly any better.
"Look, there's a Black Dark Ring around SkullGreymon's neck. But I think an Ultimate Digimon's power can resist it. At least they wouldn't obey the Digi-Destined Emperor without question the way Champion Digimon do." Iori had keenly spotted what was unusual about SkullGreymon.
