Xiao Lingmeng asked Cao De to have a Titled Douluo help her exact revenge, while Cao De investigated Li Hu and learned about Dai Lingmeng. The system then alerted him that Zhu Zhuqing was in danger, and he rushed toward her as Dai Mubai approached her captive.
Cao De rescued Zhu Zhuqing and escaped with her while Shadow fought Dai Shu, who later knocked Dai Mubai unconscious and planned to erase his memories. At the Spirit Hall Branch, Zhu Zhuqing learned that Cao De was Spirit Hall’s Holy Son and realized he was now her only hope.
Cao De tended Zhu Zhuqing’s shoulder wound and stopped her from forcing herself to seduce him, reassuring her that she could ask him for help. After Zhu Zhuqing broke down and found comfort in his care, Cao De asked what she had wanted his help with, and her expression turned serious.
Cao De learned the full story of Dai Lingmeng’s abuse and Xiao Rumeng’s death, while Xiao Lingmeng prepared to launch a dangerous operation. He sent Shadow to watch over Zhu Zhuqing’s mother in the Star Luo prison and ended the chapter sharing dinner with Zhu Zhuqing and the others.
Cao De led a small force to the Star Luo Imperial Palace prison during Xiao Lingmeng’s uprising and rescued Zhu Zhuqing’s unconscious mother. As fighting spread through the palace, Dai Yutian learned that Xiao Lingmeng and Leng Shuang were involved and resolved to reclaim Lingmeng for himself.
Dai Yutian unleashed a hidden force of monstrous Soul Masters, turning the palace battle against Xiao Lingmeng’s allies. As he confronted Xiao Lingmeng, she sacrificed her kitten Martial Soul to save Xiao Leng, leaving her injured and her Martial Soul destroyed.
Cao De fought Dai Yutian’s blood-devouring test subjects and discovered that the Thousand-Blade Demon Sword could kill them, but Dai Yutian struck him with his strongest soul skill while he was pinned down. Liu Lingmeng searched the blasted bodies for Cao De as Shadow wounded Dai Yutian and was slashed by Dai Shu.
Cao De awakened with blood-red eyes, survived Dai Yutian’s Eighth Soul Skill, and killed Dai Shu by piercing his protective barrier with the Thousand-Blade Demon Sword. Afterward, he lost control and attacked Xiao Lingmeng, but wounded himself to regain his senses and urged her to flee.
Xiao Lingmeng revealed herself and used her blood to ease Cao De’s bloodlust, but he wounded himself with the Thousand-Blade Demon Sword while trying to clear his mind. Shadow carried the injured Cao De back to the Spirit Hall Branch, while Xiao Lingmeng watched him leave and admitted she wanted to keep him all to herself.
Xiao Lingmeng forced Dai Yutian to kill his five wives, then rejected his pleas for forgiveness. As Dai Yutian knelt in grief, Dai Mubai became fixated on Xiao Lingmeng.
After Dai Mubai was restrained and Dai Yutian was ordered imprisoned, Cao De was brought back gravely wounded from his mission to Star Luo Prison. His companions learned his injuries were treatable, but the doctor also said he had excessive yang kidney energy, while Zhu Zhuqing remained alone at his bedside.
Zhu Zhuqing confessed her feelings to the unconscious Cao De, then tried to deny them when he woke and teased her. After noticing him steaming as he circulated the Great Sun Heart Method, she locked the room and decided to help him, leaving Cao De confused.
After recovering from the previous night’s injuries, Cao De learned that Xiao Lingmeng had arrived with an army to see him. Xiao Lingmeng teased him at his bedside, and the chapter ended with Zhu Zhuqing asking who she was.
Cao De rejected Xiao Lingmeng’s offer to marry him and take over the Star Luo Empire, demanding the information promised in their partnership instead. After Li Hu confessed that the emperor had ordered his kidnapping over the missing Star Luo Empire Pearl, Cao De concluded that the pearl was the Blood Pearl he had been searching for and that it was no longer in the palace.
Zhu Zhuqing learned that Xiao Lingmeng planned to marry Cao De and keep him imprisoned, so she went to the palace to confront her. When Xiao Lingmeng threatened to kill Cao De’s other women, memories of Zhu Zhuqing’s kindness from their childhood began to calm her.
Zhu Zhuqing visited Xiao Lingmeng and shared her troubled friend's tragic past with Cao De, asking him to show leniency if possible. Before they parted, Zhu Zhuqing and Cao De spent an intimate afternoon together, and she later insisted it would not happen again.
Cao De received system compensation after suspecting the system had withheld Emotion Points, then used soul-ring upgrade cards to raise all four of his rings to the hundred-thousand-year level. He also investigated Zhu Jiqing and prepared to leave, ending the chapter as he found Shui Bing'er, Huo Wu, and Shui Yue'er looking at an illustrated book.
Cao De left Star Luo City after giving Xiao Lingmeng a farewell gift, and she discovered that the kitten inside helped soften her grief over Meow Meow. On the road, Cao De headed for the Sunset Forest, where he planned to seek the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, while nearing a breakthrough to level 50.
Cao De entered the Sunset Forest with Shui Bing'er and Huo Wu while Shui Yue'er stayed behind with the coachman and secretly read her sister’s illustrated book. After avoiding a powerful Titled Douluo, Cao De found a dying Blue Silver Emperor in a cave and realized it was Ah Yin.
Cao De discovered that the wilted Blue Silver Emperor was Ah Yin and rescued her from Tang Hao’s neglect by transplanting her into a specialized flowerpot. He left Sunset Forest with Huo Wu and Shui Bing'er, while Yu Xiaogang later arrived at the cave in an urgent and embarrassing predicament.
Yu Xiaogang found a Blue Silver Emperor leaf in a cave and began boasting about his discovery to Liu Erlong and Flender. Tang Hao arrived, attacked him, and demanded to know where Ah Yin was, leaving Liu Erlong and Flender facing Tang Hao’s nine Soul Rings.
Tang Hao confronted Yu Xiaogang in the cave, demanding to know what happened to Ah Yin, and nearly killed him before Yu Xiaogang claimed he could find the missing Blue Silver Emperor. Tang Hao took Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong, and Flaide toward the Core Area of Sunset Forest, while Yu Xiaogang secretly planned to turn a Titled Douluo against Tang Hao.
Ling Yun revealed that he had hired Dugu Bo to watch the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well while he sought the Blood Pearl. Cao De and his companions crossed the Poison Miasma, recruited Dugu Bo with a promise to cure him and Dugu Yan, and reached the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where Cao De hesitated to dive in.
Cao De entered the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to absorb its extreme energies, while Shui Bing'er and Huo Wu gathered Dugu Bo’s immortal herbs above. At the bottom, a red bead merged its energy with the well’s forces, and Cao De’s attempt to redirect the surging power into his bones left his spinal cord crushed.
Cao De endured repeated cycles of bone destruction and repair while Tang Hao arrived at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and demanded Shui Bing’er's Wishful Treasure Pouch. Shadow and Dugu Bo fought Tang Hao, and Yu Xiaogang prepared to use a martial soul fusion skill to ambush him.
