Yi Chen's luck was decent. That very evening, he actually found the ruins of a large city-a city that had been utterly destroyed. Decaying weapons lay everywhere, and some even radiated a dense aura of demonic malice, proof that these evil blades had been stained with plenty of human blood.

The waiter gave Yi Chen a surprised look. "Are you new here, sir? Why didn't you go seize some Fallen Ones just now? They're all treasures. Their blood can increase your strength... besides, aren't you a Fallen One yourself?"
Chuckling, Yi Chen took out a gold coin and handed it over, speaking quietly. "Of course not. Still, I have something to ask a friend, so you'll have to put up with a little hardship for now. If I have need of you, you'll still have your life."
Grinning, Yi Chen patted his shoulder, then snatched off his hat, tossed down a bag of silver, and drifted away.
