Was that Mike? Zeyechuan's expression turned hideous as he watched the figure slaughtering Titans at will. He hated everyone, hated these gifted people whom heaven had blessed. He believed they were so strong only because heaven was unfair.
He still had not learned to use Vertical Maneuvering Equipment. Back in the Royal Capital, he had easily persuaded a noble to procure a set for him, but after thirty minutes of training, he had decided it was too exhausting and quit.
Only when Kenny started hunting him down had he tried to cram in some practice. Instead, he had injured himself so badly using the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment that he had spent half a month recovering. Still not fully healed, he had been forced to flee Wall Sina and recuperate within Wall Rose.
He was both unlucky and utterly useless.
"Die, all of you! I'll kill every last one of you!" Zeyechuan grinned viciously. Once he returned to Marley, he would make sure Marley launched an all-out attack.
"You useless piece of trash. Stay right here. Before long, that Chinese man will be fucking your Annie senseless in bed. Worthless bastard!" Zeyechuan spat, canceled Bertolt's invisibility, and walked through the gate himself.
"What Chinese man...? Whose bed is Annie getting into? What do you mean, Zeyechuan?!" The moment Bertolt heard Annie's name, he panicked.
Who was it? Could it be Chen Si? Was I worthless? Bertolt thought of his family, of Annie, and of how the others never asked for his opinion. Zeyechuan's insults seemed to be piecing the shattered Bertolt back together.
Bertolt's expression gradually twisted.
"You forced me into this!"
"What's that smell? Erwin! There's a Titan's scent at the Wall Gate!" Mike sniffed twice and shouted to Erwin.
"Huh? Are you sure you haven't made a mistake, Mike?
