Before Bai Yu, a Titan knelt blankly on the spot, his arms hanging at his sides as he quietly raised his head and gazed at the sky.
Judging by his height, he was roughly a fourteen-meter-class Titan. His long white hair fell to his waist and swayed in the breeze blowing across the grassland, while the evening sunlight spilled over him.
Though he was clearly a Pure Titan, everyone could still see Ming's presence in him. His eyes rested calmly on the sky, as though nothing around him interested him. They could not see the Titan's eyes from their angle, but they could imagine those wine-red eyes that belonged to Ming alone.
Still, everyone kept their distance, with no intention of moving closer.
"Ming, even as a Pure Titan, you're still Ming."
At some point, Kali had sheathed her twin blades. She stood nearby, watching the Titan kneeling in the grass from a distance.
Bai Yu removed the Little Fish Launcher from his arm and slowly drew his two blades from their sheaths with a faint scrape of metal.
"What are you going to do now?"
Levi looked at Bai Yu beside him and asked flatly.
"What am I going to do? Bring him back, of course."
Bai Yu spoke lightly, looking at the Pure Titan before him with a hint of happiness in his eyes.
"I can handle this alone. Stay here and watch."
Bai Yu spoke softly. Petra and the others beside him were about to say something, but a quiet glance from Levi made them swallow their words.
"Trust Bai Yu."
Levi spoke calmly and said nothing more, simply watching Bai Yu's figure. Annie, Kali, and the others stayed where they were, with no intention of stepping forward to help.
Xiate addressed the Supply Squad behind her.
