They encountered hardly any obstacles on the way back. Once aboard, Bai Yu immediately announced that they were heading home, without the slightest intention of lingering.
Ming, who had been a Pure Titan the entire time, remained unconscious. They did not know why, but they still secured him aboard the freighter used to transport supplies.
"Ming doesn't seem to have any desire to attack people, even as a Titan."
Standing on the railing, Kali looked at the freighter beside them and spoke in puzzlement. She had been prepared for a fight, but this was better. Even if Ming had become a Titan, she did not want to hurt him at all.
"Now we just need to find the next intelligent Titan."
Xiate stood beside Bai Yu and spoke calmly. Eren, Levi, and the others were all out on deck, their interest in the ocean apparently not yet exhausted.
"Yes. The War Hammer Titan, the Beast Titan, the Cart Titan, and the Jaw Titan, whose whereabouts are unknown. The Jaw Titan should be on the island, but we haven't seen him. I suspect he might be inside the Walls."
Annie spoke slowly.
"The Jaw Titan, huh..."
Bai Yu smiled as though something had occurred to him.
"All right, then let's narrow our targets down to three: the War Hammer Titan, the Beast Titan, and the Cart Titan."
Although they did not understand why, they nodded at Bai Yu's words.
"I hope they haven't died."
Bai Yu suddenly murmured.
"Died?"
Levi turned his head in confusion.
"Yeah. If a Titan ate them, that's fine. We can find them. But if they died, a baby would inherit their Titan power. If that happened... we'd just have to wait."
Bai Yu paused halfway through before slowly continuing.
"What if another Titan ate them?"
