Kenny plummeted from the air. Though a cable still cushioned his fall, he hit the ground with a thud and lay motionless.

But Bai Yu and Xiate had no time to worry about him. They hurried to Ming's side, watching blood drip from his arm. Bai Yu quickly pulled bandages from his pocket-actually from his system inventory-and tossed them to Xiate. Then he used his dagger to cut open the already ragged clothing over Ming's shoulder, exposing the skin beneath.

He frowned slightly. The injured area was small, but part of the flesh was mangled. Blood had stained everything around it red and was still seeping out.

Moreover, judging by how Ming had lost his balance while landing, some of the pellets might have lodged in his bones. Without prompt treatment, he could lose the use of that arm.

Just as Bai Yu was about to do something, Ming calmly reminded him.

"Bai Yu, I'm fine. Capture that Rod first."

Bai Yu glanced at the distant opening and hesitated briefly, but then tossed the tools in his hands to Xiate and stood up.

First, he walked toward Kenny, who lay motionless nearby. He did not believe an Ackerman would die from a fall like that, especially when Kenny had adjusted his posture in midair.

Without hesitation, he aimed his gun and fired several shots straight into Kenny's head.

Whether Kenny had been dead before or not, he was dead now. A faint coldness settled into Bai Yu's eyes, an emotion rarely seen in him.

"Xiate, treat Ming's wounds. I'll bring Rod back."

Bai Yu had previously made Xiate and Ming learn emergency wound care. Xiate had learned it well, saying she did not want to watch Bai Yu howl in pain from an injury right in front of her.
