As increasingly scorching waves of heat washed over them, Annie instinctively raised a hand to shield Bai Yu on her shoulder. He arched an eyebrow at the gesture, but this was no time to block the heat. If he misjudged the temperature, they would burn to death the moment they stepped outside.
"Annie, move your hand for a moment. I can't really feel the temperature difference!"
At his words, the Female Titan's hand paused, then lowered.
Feeling the slight burning heat on his cheeks, Bai Yu finally spoke.
"Annie, let's go. Come out!"
At Bai Yu's words, a figure quickly emerged from the nape of the Titan's neck. He rushed over and hoisted her onto his back, letting her hold on securely. He had already adjusted the positions of the cable and gas mechanisms on the back of his Omni-Directional Mobility Gear.
With Annie holding him tightly, the cables at his waist shot out, carrying them away from the scene. Sweat was constantly beading on Bai Yu's forehead now.
Damn it, this is even hotter than that factory.
Clinging to Bai Yu's back, Annie looked at his slightly sweaty face and, for some reason, found herself momentarily dazed.
But Bai Yu had no time to worry about any of that. He couldn't let them turn into popcorn and get fried to a crisp.
He traveled quite a distance using his Omni-Directional Mobility Gear before stopping on a large tree. In the distance, he watched the Pure Titan grab the Female Titan body Annie had left behind and stuff it into its mouth.
Sure enough, the Female Titan's ability could lure Titans into eating her Titan body. That would make dealing with this Titan much easier. With her ability to attract it, there was no need to worry about timing, either.
