Switching over to Obito Uchiha and Madara, the two had reunited in no time. Madara Uchiha stared at Obito's battered, swollen face and fell into a long silence.
Madara: Who beat you up like that?
Obito: It's a long story... let's just say... a whole bunch of people.
The two stared at each other. Without exchanging many words, they both understood that something miserable must have happened to the other.
The plan they had spent so many years preparing had gone up in smoke. No matter how mentally resilient they were, that still landed like a hammer blow to the heart. One was an Impure World Reincarnation, and the other was half White Zetsu, but both felt as though they had aged several decades in an instant.
But... give up?
Giving up was out of the question, in this lifetime or even the next. After wallowing for just a little while, they pulled themselves together.
"Taking the Rinnegan head-on will be difficult. In that case, we'll have to find a way to seize it in the chaos. I refuse to believe that I, Madara, can't reclaim my own Rinnegan from some little girl!"
Madara clenched his fists and spoke confidently with his head lowered, while Obito beside him bowed his head without a word. He saw things more clearly than Madara did. Madara had only fought Chinatsu, whereas he had been beaten up by Chinatsu and the members of the Akatsuki together.
The fighting strength of this "Konoha" was now astonishing. Taking the Rinnegan head-on would be very, very, very difficult... Their only option was to seize it amid the chaos, but even that would be extremely difficult. If his Kamui still worked, he might have had a chance, but who the hell knew why Chinatsu could use Kamui too?
