There was no way it would hurt. After all, Naruto had been forced to take two of these when he was a baby, and the one sealed inside him was the ill-tempered Nine-Tails.
Was Gaara's body weaker than baby Naruto's, or was the One-Tail more ill-tempered than the Nine-Tails? Either way, it shouldn't hurt.
Chinatsu had only given him a verbal heads-up before slapping her palm against Gaara's stomach without hesitation.
Smack!
Gaara's face twitched slightly. Chinatsu looked up at him in disbelief and asked, "It hurts? It shouldn't."
"You hit me too hard."
"Oh, that explains it."
Chinatsu laughed awkwardly, then quietly took her hand off Gaara's stomach.
She was too used to the force she normally used when hitting Naruto and Sasuke. She had been pummeling them since they were little, and their resistance was long past anything an ordinary kid their age could match. If she had used that same force on Naruto, he probably would have complained, "How come you're so weak today, Sis?"
As Chinatsu lifted her palm from Gaara's abdomen, a seal marking appeared there, made up of four symmetrically arranged symbols.
There was no need to apply another one and create an Eight Trigrams Seal. Gaara already had one layer of sealing on him. Adding an Eight Trigrams Seal on top of that would leave him unable to unleash a sudden burst of power when he faced danger in the future.
Once the Four Symbols Seal was complete, the area where Shukaku was sealed underwent a drastic transformation, as though someone were renovating a house. Shukaku blinked blankly, then hurriedly reached out and hammered at the cage imprisoning him.
Before, he had at least been able to make the cage shake a little. Now, no matter how hard he struck it, it didn't
