Danzo screamed, but he still refused to give up on forming hand seals to use Izanagi.
He still had one Sharingan in his eye socket. As long as he kept forming hand seals, he could gain another life.
But what happened next plunged him into despair. Before he could finish his seals yet again, he felt his eye socket go empty. The eye beneath his bandages had somehow been plucked out too!
It happened too quickly, and it was far too bizarre.
Danzo wasn't the only one who found it bizarre. Everyone else did too.
Right before their eyes, Elder Danzo's arm had suddenly been severed.
Then... a second later, someone had gouged out Elder Danzo's eyeball too.
Huh? Wait, Elder Danzo's eye was covered in bandages. Did that invisible idiot gouge out the wrong one?
Naturally, Danzo had no idea what the people around him were thinking. All he wanted now was to get out of there.
Danzo looked around and finally spotted several members of the Hyuga Clan behind the Fourth Hokage.
"You Hyuga, help me locate the enemy!"
Hearing Danzo's words, Hyuga Hiashi frowned. He had been planning to get better acquainted with his future in-law.
Hyuga Hiashi was irritated. There were so many other members of his clan around. Couldn't that old bastard Danzo ask them instead?
Discussing Naruto and Hinata's marriage with the Fourth held enormous significance for the Hyuga Clan!
With that in mind, Hyuga Hiashi looked toward the clansmen who had activated their Byakugan and were staring at Danzo in horror. "Help Elder Danzo!"
"Um... Clan Head... we're seeing something unbelievable. That invisible thing doesn't seem to be human. It looks like nothing but a mass of chakra!"
