The moment Little Naruto took off his mask, a cloak of nine-tails chakra began to emerge, identical to the chakra pouring out of Big Naruto.

That happened because Little Naruto had just used concealment to release some emission-type Nen, which solidified into a kunai and stabbed Big Naruto's arm.

The sight scared Big Naruto out of his wits.
