Upon learning that the Virtual Headset really could help awaken the Sharingan, the Uchiha present erupted into an uproar.
Many of the Uchiha clan members looked excited.
Some had never awakened their Sharingan, while others had awakened theirs only to remain stuck at one tomoe, unable to evolve...
Naturally... where some were excited, others were unhappy.
The Grand Elder stood at the back, leaning on his cane. Both he and the members of the elder faction behind him wore grim expressions.
"Grand Elder... what should we do?"
The Second Elder, standing behind the Grand Elder, spoke in a grave tone.
"Uchiha Fugaku could easily use this so-called Virtual Headset to turn things around..."
"If that happens... everything we've plotted over the past few years might..."
The Second Elder left his sentence unfinished, but everyone understood what he meant.
Most of the elder faction's followers possessed a Three-Tomoe Sharingan.
The reason was simple: most Uchiha who could awaken a Three-Tomoe Sharingan thought highly of themselves. They were the sort who had never been humbled by the real world.
The more highly they thought of themselves, the more they felt that the Uchiha were being treated beneath their status. Naturally... these people were also the easiest to manipulate, so... they had all become staunch supporters of the elder faction.
If the Virtual Headset, which could help awaken the Sharingan, were introduced throughout the Uchiha clan... it would deal the elder faction a major blow.
First, the lower-ranking Uchiha-those who had not awakened their Sharingan or only had one or two tomoe-would all lean toward Uchiha Fugaku's clan leader faction.
Second... with the Virtual Headset, the clan leader faction would likely gain more members with three tomoe. When that happened, the elder faction would lose its dominance over them.
