It had been a month since Saiko and Hairu Ihei left Huiqi.
Huiqi was still enjoying his leisurely days in Ward 5. Nothing had changed over the past month. The Clowns, Aogiri Tree, the CCG, and V had all remained inactive. It was almost unnervingly quiet.
"Dad, we haven't found the person in the photo, but we found this one."
Huiqi raised an eyebrow at the message in his hand. The man looked familiar. Wasn't he an employee at Anteiku?
He had blond hair and wore glasses. His eyes were narrow, and he always seemed to look down at things.
"Capture him and ask about Rise. If he won't talk, I'll interrogate him myself."

A photo was attached, a candid shot of Haise Sasaki from the Quinque Squad.
"A whole month, and he's only caught a handful of ghouls. I wonder if Akira Mado's beaten him up yet." Huiqi scoffed at Sasaki's photo. He hadn't expected amnesia to truly let someone start over from scratch.
Meanwhile, Haise Sasaki had run into trouble. His subordinate Urie refused to follow orders and kept taking Ginshi Shirazu out to act on their own. Saiko Yonebayashi didn't want to be a Ghoul Investigator, and he didn't force her, but she always asked what their assignment was for the day without ever participating.
The only obedient one was Tōru Mutsuki, but she was afraid to use her Quinx abilities. Her combat strength was effectively zero.
Haise Sasaki was finding it increasingly difficult to know what to do. At the meeting just now, Rank 1 Investigator Fusami Shimoguchi had mocked him, and Akira Mado had only told Shimoguchi to mind his own business.
