An idea stirred in Chen Xiaojun's mind. He raised a question he had considered long ago. "If Xiao Yi came here, what sort of treatment would she receive?"
Hearing that there was a chance, Zhuang Mocheng hastily replied, "That's easy enough. She would receive exactly the same benefits as you, Xiaojun."
"Chang'an Academy has never been stingy with outstanding talent. If Miss Xiao Yi joins us, she'll naturally receive the very best treatment."
Chen Xiaojun nodded. "There's one more thing. Xiao Yi has spent the past few years concentrating on cultivation, so she might be a little behind in our theoretical coursework."
"But we need Xiao Yi to be in my class, so I can help her whenever she needs it. Would that be possible?"
Zhuang Mocheng agreed without a second thought. "None of that is a problem."
"We'll do whatever you say. As long as Miss Xiao Yi comes, everything is negotiable."
Chen Xiaojun relaxed inwardly and smiled. "All right, then. I'll ask Xiao Yi what she thinks later."
Zhuang Mocheng grew a little anxious, however, and urged, "What's there to ask? Isn't she your girlfriend? Surely the two of you are of one mind."
Chen Xiaojun gave a wry smile. He really has done his homework.
He explained, "Elder Zhuang, we still have to ask her what she wants. After all, it's her choice."
Listening beside them, Chen Cong smiled as well. "All right, Xiaojun. No need to ask. She'll certainly agree."
"Old Zhuang, I'll make the decision. Xiao Yi will join our Academy. After all, why let the rich water flow into someone else's fields?"
Zhuang Mocheng was overjoyed and clapped his hands. "Now that's decisive, Dean!"
