Zhu Wuneng held his head high and puffed out his chest, swaggering along with a smug shake of his head like a warrior who had just accomplished some great feat. He plopped down on the stone stool, panting heavily, a pleased grin tugging at his lips. "Young Master, wasn't I especially heroic today?"
Chen Xiaojun gave him a sidelong glance. "Little Wuneng, that head-waggling act of yours still leaves plenty of room for improvement. No matter how I look at it, you seem ridiculous."
Zhu Wuneng curled his lips and muttered, "Young Master, couldn't you say something nice?"
Chen Xiaojun was unbothered and smiled faintly. "Still, those last few things you said were excellent. They made me see you in a new light. Look, they're still baring their teeth at you."
Zhu Wuneng snorted, his brows knitting tightly. "I just can't stand their arrogance. They always think they're a cut above everyone else, strutting around like they own the place. Unless someone teaches them a lesson, they'll think the whole world has to give way to them. Right now, I'm really enjoying the way they're grinding their teeth at me without being able to do a thing."
Then he rubbed his head and chuckled before turning toward Xiao Yi, who stood silently nearby. His expression changed into a childishly innocent smile. "Big Sister Xiao Yi, hurry and help soothe me. That fight hurt like crazy."
Xiao Yi nodded slightly without saying much. With a gentle wave of her hand, an Immortal Evergreen Vine wound around Zhu Wuneng's body, instantly bringing a cooling sensation that eased his pain.
Ji Boda looked at Zhu Wuneng and teased, "Congratulations, Wuneng. You really cemented your title of Marshal Tianpeng today."
At that, Zhu Wuneng burst out laughing, his delight written all over his face.
