Seconds later, dense blisters began forming on Lin Cuo's forearm. Sweat and heat glued the inner lining of his control glove to his skin, but his fingers still gripped the control stick as the radiation fluctuation field spread rapidly through the Gate-class Control Brain.
Tabane's voice immediately turned grave.
"Cut off your neural feedback! Your own arm is dissipating the module's heat!"
"If I cut it now, the door closes!"
"Willpower isn't going to solve your cooling problem anymore!"
"Just give me five more seconds to be a real man!!!"
Gritting his teeth, Lin Cuo pushed the output higher. Both secretory structures inside the Gate-class Control Brain went out of control at once. Contracting agents mixed with relaxing agents, and the enormous isolation wall shuddered violently before freezing half-closed like a muscle caught in a spasm.
Hexi's six remaining Gao Hai units immediately rushed into the openings on either side. They wedged the isolation wall open with their mechanical arms, Flying Swallow Claws, and entire bodies. High-voltage current arced continuously across their armor. One TQ-21's cockpit went completely dark within seconds, while the leg joints of two others were slowly crushed by the wall. Not one let go.
"The door's open!" Tabane shouted. "Little Regent, go!"
