Kaisha: I Don't Resist It

A playful chase unfolded in this private garden, where there were no outsiders.

The two rulers of Angel Civilization, one in front and one behind—one fleeing for her life, the other hunting her down.

The one fleeing wore a smile, while the one chasing looked awful.

In the end, the King of Gods yielded and was pinned to the ground by the Heavenly Base King, bringing the chase to a complete end.

On the garden lawn, Kaisha lay flat on her back with her clothes in disarray, while Hexi sat on her stomach, firmly pinning her beneath her.

"Tell me, what exactly are you trying to do? If your answer doesn't satisfy me, don't even think about getting up."

Kaisha did not resist. With her Sacred Body, let alone a girl like Hexi sitting on top of her without using any strength—a girl who could be called frail and easy to knock over—even if a truck capable of sending people off to another world crashed into Kaisha, it would be the truck going to another world, not Kaisha!

"Didn't I already say it? On behalf of Angel Civilization, I've decided that you, our wise and charming Heavenly Base King, will win over that male god from another world. Then you can lead the Merlot Heavenly Court down a new path!"

Seeing that Kaisha was still saying the same thing, Hexi, sitting on Kaisha's stomach, applied a little pressure.

Kaisha seemed to feel the force of Hexi pressing down and let out a soft sound.

Hexi stopped pressing and looked at Kaisha, seemingly waiting for her to admit her mistake.

The two rulers of the Angel Race argued over a single matter on the grass like two children.

In the end, they decided to each take a step back.

Hexi eased up and stopped pressing down so heavily. In return, Kaisha would tell Hexi all of her considerations.

Finally free of the pressure, Kaisha let out a breath. Looking at Hexi, who was glaring at her like a tiger watching its prey, she pursed her lips, her expression returning to its usual seriousness as she spoke.

"There really was no other choice."

Kaisha sighed.

"We led the Female Angels in rebellion and ended the Heavenly Palace Era. Later, in order to find an order that belonged to us, we went through the Three Kings Era. In the end, we determined the order Angel Civilization would follow—the Justice Order."

"We have seen the chaos and endless wars between civilizations in the universe. Angel Civilization went through the same stage as well. That is why, standing at the pinnacle of universal civilization, we hoped to influence this universe and turn it into the kind of universe we wanted to see. At the very least, that was the belief of us and of those angel sisters who had first rebelled against the Heavenly Palace with us and built the Merlot Heavenly Court."

"To make that possibility a reality, the angel sisters who had fought alongside us since the Heavenly Palace Era sacrificed far, far too much! Even their descendants sacrificed far too much!"

"Angel Civilization paid the price, and naturally, we obtained the result we wanted. At least, on the surface, that was the case. The Justice Order spread throughout the universe and was obeyed by the vast majority of civilizations. Of course, the process and methods we used to achieve that result were not exactly admirable—such as restricting their development and using Angel military force to compel them to follow the order we established..."

"Although our methods of carrying out justice were somewhat overbearing, even... unscrupulous, compared to the disorderly and chaotic era of the past, the Known Universe truly looked more beautiful under this fragile, superficial peace that Angel Civilization had forcibly created through threats of force!"

"Of course, just as I said before, I do not deny that our methods were too extreme. But there was no way around it. There are countless lives in the Known Universe, and every individual among those endless lives has their own understanding and beliefs. Trying to make all of them uphold justice is simply too difficult! That even includes... my rebellious younger sister."

As she said that, a trace of sorrow appeared on Kaisha's face. Hexi's expression also darkened, and she loosened her hold on Kaisha a little more. After all... where she was sitting was the very spot where Kaisha's sister—Morgana as she was now—had once pierced Kaisha with a sword.

Although that wound had healed nearly ten thousand years ago, Hexi felt that the wound in Kaisha's heart might not have healed yet.

So I know that the Justice Order we have maintained for over ten thousand years, the order that has formed throughout the Known Universe, is about to collapse!"

"To be honest, I don't actually resist that."

"No order can endure forever! It may last in the universe for a thousand years, ten thousand years, or a hundred thousand years. But one day, a new order will emerge and replace it!"

"Just like Shenhe Civilization back then. After Shenhe Civilization disappeared, its surviving people founded the Super Seminary across the universe in order to preserve Shenhe ideals. They even defined beings with bodies like theirs as Shenhe Bodies."

"They introduced the concept of the Shenhe Body and eagerly shared Shenhe Civilization's technology and ideas. They hoped to recreate the Shenhe Civilization of old through this! But they failed! The knowledge spread by the Super Seminary caused many wars in the Known Universe that never needed to happen! The most memorable of them was the Deno War!"

"Seeing their hopes come to nothing and even cause so many terrible consequences, Principal Kiran disappeared, while the major instructors gradually left as well. The glory of the Super Seminary faded away."

"And Angel Civilization took its place at the summit of universal civilization."
