First Meeting with an Angel

As dawn broke, Akashi woke up.

Or rather, Akashi hadn't slept soundly at all last night. At the very least, her ship equipment's radar had been continuously scanning their surroundings. This was an unfamiliar place, and she was the only fleet member with Commander. Coupled with the winged, demon-like creatures they had encountered before, she had to be cautious for Commander's safety.

Akashi opened her eyes. The sky outside was already dimly lit. She decided to wake up early and prepare something to eat for Commander! The maid team wasn't here, and neither were the married ship girls. Only she was by Commander's side, so the important task of taking care of Commander should fall on her shoulders!

Just as Akashi was about to get up, she felt someone hugging her like an octopus. Startled, Akashi looked down at the person in front of her. The one holding her tightly was the little girl they had rescued, Azi.

As if having a nightmare, Azi's sleeping face was filled with terror. Akashi could feel the grip on her tightening.

Sighing, Akashi gently patted Azi's back, her voice soft as she whispered in Azi's ear, comforting her.

It seemed Akashi's comfort had worked. After a while, the terror on Azi's face gradually faded, and her grip on Akashi loosened. Akashi breathed a sigh of relief and took the opportunity to break free from Azi's embrace. Then, before Azi, who seemed to be holding onto Akashi for the security she had lost, could feel the absence, Akashi picked up a Manjuu that had been resting nearby – having been put down by Azi when she started hugging Akashi – and tucked it back into Azi's arms.

With something to hug, the terror on Azi's face vanished. Visibly, as if afraid of being separated again, Azi tightened her embrace significantly! The Manjuu, which had been resting, was instantly awakened by the squeeze!

Just as the Manjuu was about to protest, it saw Akashi's warning expression and was forced to shut its mouth.

Akashi nodded with satisfaction, seeing the Manjuu remain silent. Then, she got out of bed and walked outside.

Passing by the bed where Su Luo was sleeping, Akashi saw that Su Luo had once again kicked off some of his blanket due to the heat. Akashi blinked and quietly took a few photos.

Cough, best-selling merchandise in the port +1, +1, +1...

Stepping outside, Akashi glanced in the direction of the "rabbits" she had caught yesterday, and her face fell.

She had caught about twenty "rabbits" yesterday. Su Luo had killed three, and there were still many left. Now, only one remained in the cage. The rest of the "rabbits"...

Akashi went up to examine the wooden cage and clicked her tongue. A hole had been gnawed through the side of the wooden cage by these "rabbits." Akashi estimated that they had all escaped through here.

As for the remaining "rabbit"...

Akashi glanced at it. The "rabbit" was scurrying around inside the cage. It walked past the hole but seemed not to notice the exit, instead running headfirst into a wooden board on the other side. Then... the cage shook slightly. The wooden board was fine, but the "rabbit" looked a bit dazed.

Watching the "rabbit," Akashi silently opened the cage's exit. However, the "rabbit" still acted as if it hadn't seen it. It gathered its strength again and rammed into the spot it had just hit...

"This 'rabbit' seems a bit silly... Will eating it affect my intelligence?"

Akashi frowned. Watching the silly "rabbit" repeatedly ramming into the cage for a long time, it finally knocked itself unconscious. Akashi sighed and picked up the rabbit.

Thinking about it, I won't feed this to Commander. It's too silly. I'm afraid it might affect Commander!

As for the other "rabbits," heh, when it gets light, I'll take Commander to catch the "rabbits" again! And have a whole rabbit feast! I'll show those "rabbits" the consequences of escaping right in front of them!

Holding the silly rabbit by its ear, Akashi walked to the doorway, found a clean spot, and sat down. She called over a Manjuu that had been acting as a sentry during the night.

"Go to the edible fruit tree that Commander and I found yesterday and pick some more fruit, nya! Hurry, nya, Commander will wake up soon, nya!"

The Manjuu, exhausted from working all day without rest, diligently followed Akashi's instructions and headed towards the woods.

Akashi, meanwhile, stared at the silly "rabbit" dangling from her hand, lost in thought.

Eating it is out of the question, it looks too silly, I'm afraid it might affect people if I eat it. Letting it go...

After all, Commander spent energy using his abilities to catch it! Letting it go like this would be a waste, wouldn't it?

Akashi pondered for a while. Looking at the little guy's rather cute appearance, she glanced back into the house at the Manjuu held by Azi, the one being squeezed uncomfortably.

"This 'rabbit' isn't very aggressive, nya. Hmm, I'll see if Azi likes this 'rabbit' later, nya. If she does, I'll swap it with the Manjuu, nya. That child has worked hard enough, nya!"

Akashi had temporarily decided the fate of this "rabbit," but it still depended on whether Azi liked it!

Because they had to travel back and forth between the woods and the village multiple times yesterday, the Manjuu were quite familiar with the nearby paths. Therefore, they quickly returned with the fruits Akashi had asked them to pick.

Not a lot, but enough for one meal!

Seeing the Manjuu return, Akashi's face lit up with a smile. She took the fruits the Manjuu had brought back, washed them, and cut them up...

After some preparation, a good-looking fruit salad was ready!

Glancing at the sky where the sun had already risen, Akashi carried the prepared fruit salad inside.

"Commander, it's time to wake up and have breakfast, nya!"

Akashi placed the items on the dining table. First, she went to her Commander's bedside and quietly took a few more photos as potential best-selling merchandise. Then, Akashi reached out and gently pushed Su Luo, trying to wake him up.

Roused by Akashi, Su Luo woke up. Although the conditions here weren't great, Su Luo had slept very soundly last night. Seeing Su Luo's encouragement, Azi finally chose to trust him and picked up the spoon Akashi had prepared.

Just as Azi scooped up a spoonful of fruit and was about to eat it, Akashi suddenly stood up beside him and blocked Su Luo.

"Commander, the anti-air radar shows two unidentified flying objects rapidly approaching us from above, nya!"

Akashi's tone was serious, and her ship equipment had already materialized.

"Akashi, are they the same kind of ugly freaks we encountered yesterday, flying in the sky?"

Su Luo pulled Azi closer, holding her in his arms and signaling her not to be afraid.

"Unclear, nya, Commander!"

Su Luo narrowed his eyes.

"How far are they from us now?"

Angel Zhixin nodded and chose to connect. After connecting, Akashi's cautious voice reached Angel Zhixin and Angel Yan.

"Who are you? What is your purpose here?"

"Don't be nervous, little girl. We are the Sacred Wings of the Merlot Heavenly Court. I am Angel Yan, and this is Angel Zhixin. We mean no harm; we are here for you!"

Hearing their self-introduction, Su Luo felt a sense of relief, but also a flicker of caution.
