"Peter, can you sense where Mr. Kudo is?"
"The dead are all on the second floor. As for Mr. Kudo, we'll have to go up and look. He might not even be here."
"Please don't be dead, Mr. Kudo, or the higher-ups will put pressure on us again."
Tenten pressed her palms together in prayer.
Then everyone went up to the second floor.
As soon as they reached the top of the stairs, they saw four men's bodies lying in the hallway.
Sword quickly ran over to examine the bodies and confirmed that all of them were dead.
"Is Mr. Kudo among them?" Tenten asked, dreading the name Kudo.
"We haven't found him yet. Let's search the other rooms." Sword and the others got up to search elsewhere, leaving only Tenten and Meng Fan in the hallway.
Meng Fan crouched down and turned over a body lying facedown.
The body had cuts of varying severity.
The fatal wound was a clean slit across the throat.
It looked like the work of an extremely sharp blade.
But on closer inspection, Meng Fan noticed a shiny fragment in the wound.
He gently picked it out and examined it between his fingers.
"Meng Fan, what did you find?" Tenten looked curiously at the fragment between his fingers.
"It looks like glass."
"Why would there be glass in the wound?"
"It's possible the victims were all killed with a weapon made of glass."
Examining just one body wouldn't tell him much.
Meng Fan crouched beside another body.
He inspected each wound.
Sure enough, he found another glass fragment in a wound.
The same was true of the next few bodies.
"That should confirm it. The killer used a glass weapon to kill them."
Having reached his conclusion, Meng Fan stood and dropped the glass
