After learning that Inosuke planned to take part in the Final Selection, Ye Chen said nothing more. Inosuke kept pestering Redhelm to spar with him for a while longer, after which Ye Chen returned to Sakonji Urokodaki's place.
"Oh, Tanjiro, come with me to the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters," Ye Chen told Tanjiro.
"Huh? But, senior brother, I still have to take part in the Final Selection..."
"It's fine. You can get familiar with the place first. Besides, once you're at my place, I can keep training you a little and help you get stronger before the Final Selection."
Ye Chen continued nonchalantly. Of course, it wasn't entirely out of kindness toward Tanjiro. He had rarely visited his villa at the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters, and being there alone was rather boring. There was also one more thing...

"Tanjiro, stop those demons over there. Just hold them off. I'll deal with this bunch, then come over and finish them off."
"Got it!"
Along the way, Ye Chen had Tanjiro help him slay demons. He also completed another two Demon Slayer Corps assignments while teaching Tanjiro about demon behavior and how to deal with them. To his pleasant surprise, his two pain-in-the-ass missions were finally complete.
