D began questioning his life.
Strange as it sounded, the more steadfast someone's convictions and the more black-and-white their worldview, the easier it was for reality to shake them. Their little worlds ran on perfect code: right was right, and wrong was wrong.
Unfortunately, the Lands Between didn't run that program. It was one enormous palette of gray.
When reality crashed headlong into the perfect logic in their heads, the world's "bugs" came into violent conflict with their own "code." That seemingly impregnable armor of will could crack with a single snap.
In plain terms, reality had slapped them in the face, leaving them a little dazed and a little melodramatic. After a few more slaps, their skin would thicken, and they'd get used to it.
Tarnished didn't think D was that fragile. He could surely pull himself together. The problem was-they were short-handed right now! Who had time to let him mope?

"The Erdtree wanted to resurrect him, so it kept pouring divine power into him."
"And what is the Erdtree's divine power?"
"The Golden Order, naturally."
"So..." Tarnished gestured for him to continue.
D shuddered, his CPU struggling with the load. "Wait... you're saying it wasn't Godwyn who resurrected them, but the Golden Order acting through Godwyn? What's wrong is... the Golden Order?!"
Tarnished clapped in satisfaction. "Congratulations, Brother D! You've even learned to answer
