Eat Dirt!

Three days later, as the first light of dawn appeared, on the official road outside Suotuo City.

An extraordinarily lavish carriage slowly approached. Its body was crafted from precious wood and inlaid with dazzling gems, their shimmering colors almost too much for the eye to take in.

The driver was a burly man dressed in a black trench coat and sunglasses, looking mysterious and imposing.

A formidable Shotgun hung at his waist, giving off an air of danger from time to time.

Peals of clear, delightful laughter drifted from inside the carriage, like music from the heavens.

The carriage's interior was equally luxurious. Soft cushions, exquisite tea ware, and all manner of rare ornaments proclaimed its owner's taste and status.

Zhu Zhuqing sat in one corner of the carriage. She curiously poked her head out to look at the blond man driving, unable to keep a little worry from creeping into her heart.

She asked softly, "Is this robot called Governor really reliable? He won't get us lost, will he?"

Xiao Wu immediately countered, "Governor isn't just any robot! He's a powerful Soul Tool with intelligence of his own, and he's Brother Xuanqing's invention!"

Seated on the other side of the carriage, Chen Xuanqing smiled and reassured her, "Don't worry, kitten. I've already traveled all around the Douluo Continent with Governor. His navigation is excellent. He definitely won't get lost."

Chen Xuanqing's words eased Zhu Zhuqing's worries a little.

But when she heard him affectionately call her "kitten," her cheeks flushed slightly, and she lowered her head in embarrassment.

Just then, several figures raced along the official road outside the window. They were Zhao Wuji, Tang San, Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun from Shrek Academy.

Inside the carriage, Chen Xuanqing was chatting animatedly with Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing when he suddenly sensed the presences outside. They exchanged looks of surprise.

The people outside the carriage also noticed the figures within.

"Huh? Isn't that Zhu Zhuqing?" Zhao Wuji narrowed his eyes, recognizing the girl inside.

Dai Mubai also caught sight of Zhu Zhuqing. His gaze instantly sharpened, and fury blazed within him.

Knowing Zhu Zhuqing's identity, Dai Mubai had always regarded her as his exclusive possession. Seeing her with another man naturally displeased him immensely.

Ma Hongjun, however, was blunt by nature and completely missed the change in Dai Mubai. He asked outright, "Boss Dai, isn't that your fiancée? Why is she with these people?"

Before Ma Hongjun had finished speaking, Oscar clapped a hand over his mouth.

He inwardly cursed Ma Hongjun for having no tact. Wasn't saying something like that now just pouring oil on the fire?

Dai Mubai's expression had darkened to the extreme. He glared at the carriage, wishing he could charge over immediately and snatch Zhu Zhuqing back.

But he also knew this was no time to act rashly. He had to calm down.

"Let's go!" Dai Mubai took a deep breath and turned to address the others.

Clearly, the beating he had taken two days earlier was still fresh in his memory. A trace of wariness and apprehension showed in his eyes.

Faced with Chen Xuanqing, who was already a Soul Saint at just sixteen, Dai Mubai wisely chose to back down. He knew full well that the gap between them was like a heavenly chasm, not something easily crossed.

The others from Shrek Academy understood his mood perfectly. They nodded in agreement, setting aside their hostility toward Chen Xuanqing for the moment.

Yet the flames of anger in their hearts did not subside. Instead, they burned even fiercer.

Chen Xuanqing, however, seemed to have no intention of letting them off.

The corners of his mouth curled into a mocking smile as he deliberately provoked him. "Young man, remember your strength and standing. Zhu Zhuqing is a woman you can never have."

Those words were like a thorn driven viciously into Dai Mubai's heart.

His face instantly turned ashen, anger flashing in his eyes. He clenched his fists as though trying to crush that fury in his hands.

Zhu Zhuqing watched coldly from the side. She had long since lost faith in Dai Mubai.

After spending these past few days at the Rose Hotel, thanks to Chen Xuanqing's arrangements, she naturally knew what kind of man Dai Mubai was.

He often brought a pair of beautiful twins, along with other loose women, to book rooms at the love hotel. Zhu Zhuqing considered such a man unworthy of her.

Thus, she paid no mind to his anger. If anything, she found him rather disgusting.

"A warrior may be killed, but never humiliated!"

Dai Mubai roared, and his martial soul instantly possessed him. His figure grew tall and imposing as he lunged toward the carriage, ready to settle things with Chen Xuanqing.

At that moment, however, Zhao Wuji grabbed him and pulled him back.

He whispered softly into Dai Mubai's ear, "Now isn't the time to attack. Let's follow the carriage first. Once we reach somewhere deserted, we'll help you give him a thorough beating, so that wretched Chen Xuanqing won't dare set his sights on your fiancée."

Oscar said angrily, "That's right, Boss Dai. We'll help you when the time comes."

Tang San agreed as well. "Teacher Zhao Wuji is also a Soul Saint. With us joining in, victory is certain. Chen Xuanqing has already paved his own road to death."

Of course, Tang San left something unsaid: with his hidden weapons and Tang Sect techniques, combined with Zhao Wuji's strength as a Soul Saint, he was absolutely confident they could take Chen Xuanqing down.

All of them were filled with hostility and anger toward Chen Xuanqing, and each resolved to avenge Dai Mubai's humiliation.

Hearing their support, Dai Mubai's fury eased a little. He suppressed the anger in his heart and shot Zhu Zhuqing a vicious glare.

All he received in return, however, was a look of disdain and disgust from Zhu Zhuqing, which only strengthened his determination to defeat Chen Xuanqing.

And so, the group from Shrek Academy followed behind the carriage, waiting for a suitable chance to strike.

Night fell. After following the carriage all day, the people from Shrek Academy finally stopped in a small town still a hundred kilometers from the Star Dou Great Forest.

Chen Xuanqing rubbed his aching lower back, hopped down from the carriage, and stretched. Turning to Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing, he said, "We can finally take a break. A whole day in that carriage has left my back aching."

Xiao Wu pouted and complained, "Yes, Brother Xuanqing, I'm starving! I really want something tasty."

Zhu Zhuqing calmly surveyed their surroundings and said evenly, "Let's find an inn and rest first. We still have to travel tomorrow."

Chen Xuanqing nodded and was about to speak when Dai Mubai's voice suddenly came from behind him. "Hmph, you've certainly had it easy, riding in a carriage all day. We've been eating dust the whole time."

Chen Xuanqing turned around and watched Dai Mubai and the others approach.

Then he smiled faintly and said, "Dai Mubai, weren't you following us the entire time? What, tired now?"
