The eighth day after Ellin returned from the Ley Lines.
"You're back?"
Ellin glanced at the white-haired girl beside her. She was Ellin's first Familiar-Feng'er.
"Hehe, I'm back, Master."
"You've gotten even stronger, Master!"
Feng'er scratched her head and smiled. She shared her life and soul with Ellin.
Her strength was limited by Ellin's. The stronger Ellin became, the stronger she could become.
"You must have learned something at the end of the Ley Lines, Master?"
"Yes!"
Ellin nodded. "But there are still some questions I haven't answered."
She looked at Feng'er. "For instance, who are you, and what have you been doing all this time?"
"I promised you that once you returned from the Ley Lines, I would tell you everything, Master."
"So this time, I won't hide anything anymore."
"I'll lay everything about myself bare before you!"
Feng'er smiled, gently closed her eyes, and willed it.
As Ellin's Familiar, Feng'er shared her soul and life with her.
Thus, they could see through each other's eyes and view each other's memories.
Feng'er knew all of Ellin's memories, but Ellin could not view all of Feng'er's.
That was because a wall existed within their connection, barring Ellin from accessing some of Feng'er's memories.
Now, with a thought from Feng'er, that invisible wall vanished.
She opened all her memories to Ellin, allowing her to view them freely.
