It was the will born from the continent called Teyvat, governing all its laws, its rise and its decline. In other words, it was [Heavenly Principles].
And the White-Haired God who stopped the Traveler siblings at the beginning of the game was the Keeper of Heavenly Sustainer.
The Keeper of Heavenly Sustainer was responsible for protecting this continent from destruction and enforcing Heavenly Principles.
One was the will of this continent; the other was the Keeper of Heavenly Sustainer.
It and the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles were not the same existence.
It was the will of Teyvat, while the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles was the god who upheld Heavenly Principles.
If an analogy had to be made, it was like the [Heavenly Dao] in primordial fantasy novels.
And the Keeper of Heavenly Sustainer was like the Heavenly Dao's representative in those novels, the [Patriarch Hongjun].
So, strictly speaking, its existence-as the will of this world-stood above the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.
An unimaginably long time had passed.
Having witnessed countless civilizations perish upon this continent, its resolve began to waver.
It asked itself whether doing this held any meaning.
It asked itself why, when those tiny people worked so hard to live and pursue happiness, it destroyed them along their path toward that happiness.
Was doing so too cruel?
It wondered whether it should give those tiny people striving to live upon it a chance.
A chance to let those tiny people strive forward freely.
Even if the price was its own possible demise.
And so, using its power, it brought a person named [Ailin] over from another world.
It wanted to see what choice this human from another world would make after he had witnessed countless wonders and the warmth and coldness of life, and become a god.
