Zhong Baiye arrived in Liyue during the Rite of Descension and was mistaken for the murderer of Rex Lapis. Taken into Millelith custody, he hoped the newly activated check-in system could help clear his name.

• At the Rite of Descension, Zhong Baiye appeared beside Rex Lapis's fallen body as the crowd and Millelith soldiers watched.
