Silver Wolf held her chin, working through a meticulous chain of deductions.
She reached a conclusion:
"Did the Old Hag come over?"
Chu Mu: "???"
He muttered:
"Maybe. During the day, I suppose."
"I knew it. She must have sneaked over to see you while Kafka and I were out today." Silver Wolf snorted. "But I trust you. You didn't do anything, right?"
"Right, exactly." Chu Mu nodded, giving her a thumbs-up in agreement.
Then he took the initiative to change the subject and asked:
"Where did you and Kafka go today?"
"Giantwood Tower. I kept watch outside, and Kafka went in after Number Seven came out," Silver Wolf said casually.
That short statement contained quite a lot of information.
Puzzled, Chu Mu asked:
"Why didn't I know any of this?"
Number Seven was keeping things from him, and so was Kafka.
That left Chu Mu feeling a little hurt.
"Maybe there are things you aren't ready to know yet," Silver Wolf said casually. "Their grown-up world is full of twists and turns. See? I'm better, aren't I? I tell you everything."

"What's with the silence?" Silver Wolf pouted. "If you don't think I'm nice, I won't tell you anything anymore."
"All right, all right!" Chu Mu soothed her. "Of course you're nice!"
"That's more like it." A smile appeared on Silver Wolf's face.
But apparently feeling that she had let him off too easily, she put on a stern expression again and said:
"Come on, play a board game with me!"
