"Aren't they worried this will only make the conflict worse?" Asta couldn't help murmuring.
By then, Chu Mu and Silver Wolf had teleported aboard the ship.
Chu Mu said calmly:
"This conflict didn't start today, and one more escalation won't make much difference. It's already reached the point where one side has to die for the other to live. Neither will back down."
Chu Mu felt a pang of recognition. He, too, came from a massive fortress city built by a faction of Preservation. Yet such great cities often began to collapse when they lost their internal balance.
The Swarm's attacks couldn't bring Skorint down, but these rebels understood the city far better than the Swarm did.
"A-Mu, where did you go?" Kafka approached, then looked at Silver Wolf beside him and frowned. "Where did you just whisk A-Mu off to?"
"I-!" Silver Wolf flushed for a moment. "Hey, hey, hey! What do you mean, whisk him off? Watch what you say, woman! I'll sue you for slander!"
"I was the one who wanted to learn," Chu Mu said.
He turned toward Silver Wolf and said with a smile:
"If anyone whisked anyone away, then I was the student who whisked his teacher away."
"Is that so?"
