The Eyeless Aeon was the most shameless Aeon in the entire Sea of Stars.
For countless years, he had kept doing the same thing-
He would drag over a planet teeming with life, then place two suns beside it, one black and one red.
The Red Sun bestowed light, while the Black Sun cast down darkness.
Whenever life on the planet flourished to its peak, he would spread the teachings of the Black Sun and remove the Red Sun.
He let darkness envelop the land, and made its people abandon the light.
As long as all those people became eyeless, he would be the planet's sole ruler.
Those who could embark on the Path of the Eyeless gained the ability to see light again within the darkness.
They would be endlessly grateful to him and obey his every command.
The Eyeless Aeon found this obedience immensely satisfying.
Before his fall, he dragged over a planet-sized Incubator.
He settled his most faithful followers there, then poured vast quantities of seawater into the planet.
His followers lived on the pitch-black seabed, ensuring that their descendants, too, would have to walk the Path of the Eyeless.
He also placed terrifying beasts in this ocean, all of which he had openly "borrowed" from a biological research institute on some planet.
These beasts were moved to tears with gratitude toward him and obeyed him without question.
He found such obedience deeply satisfying.
And so he instructed his followers to look after his Incubator, and the beasts to look after his followers.
He told them he would return.
At first, his followers fulfilled this duty faithfully.
They lived and multiplied on the seabed, never coveting the light.
