The rescue ship was capable of warp travel, so after leaving Deep Blue Star, the group arrived at a Spaceport.
Asta would stay there for a week, waiting for her mother to join her.
Chu Mu had wanted to leave right away, but Asta said she had a gift for him and asked him to stay another week.
Chu Mu really wanted to refuse, but Kafka was pinching him far too hard.
With no other choice, he could only wait there.
Since it was a corporate Spaceport, Kafka could not freely go out and spent most of her time aboard the battered ship.
Silver Wolf, meanwhile, was absorbed in gaming. The first thing she did after regaining internet access was grind for game progress.
As for Sampo, Chu Mu had already kicked him out.
"We agreed before that once I got you off Deep Blue Star, I'd drop you at whatever Spaceport we found, and you'd find your own way back to Jarilo-VI," Chu Mu said flatly. "I asked Asta. There happens to be a merchant ship leaving today that goes straight to a neighboring star system of Jarilo-VI. Take that one."
"Wait... boss!" Sampo stared at him with innocent eyes and pleaded pitifully, "I was just being polite! I never actually wanted to leave you! Staying with you is so much more interesting. Who would want to go back to the frozen wastes of Jarilo-VI?"
After a pause, he continued:
"Boss, after all these days sharing hardships and risking our lives together, after the deep bond we've built, can you really bear to abandon me like this? Setting aside the unreliable things I've done, I'm still a very reliable underling. Boss, I want to follow you forever!"
"Sampo, that's classic hedonistic thinking!" Chu Mu rebuked him with righteous conviction.
